In trying to maintain a work – home life balance I have come to the realization I need to set some professional boundaries.
It all started off innocently enough, I communicate via phone, text, instant messages, Facebook message, and a host of other social outlets. I love communicating freely with friends, family and all of my valued customers but recently realized everything is blurred together. There is no definition between work and home and because of this my home is becoming out of sorts so to speak.
In an attempt to resolve this issue I am going to implement the following office hours.Tuesday – Friday 10am-4pm. I will be out of the office, on location with my clients Saturday and Sunday. All calls and emails will be returned the next business day. ** Also I will no longer be communicating via text messages, all correspondence will be through email or phone calls during office hours.
